We spoke to Practice Lead Marley Hornstra about her passion for Health and Human Services, and partnering with an organisation for not just 1, but 40 roles!
Hi Marley, what’s your role at Method?
I am a Principal Consultant specialising in the recruitment of social work, community services and mental health professionals.
Why did you choose to specialise in Health and Human Services?
I had the opportunity to take the healthcare recruitment portfolio in my previous organisation and, I fell in love with it immediately. I am someone who enjoys continually learning new things and with the complexities of the health system and the ever-changing landscape, it means that I have to learn and evolve with the sector. It isalso really rewarding and motivating, working with people who are doing such incredible and important jobs, providing essential social services to the community.
What’s a recent moment you’re proud of?
It’s got to be the project that I’m currently working on where, I have had the opportunity to partner with an organisation to support the recruitment of 40 roles for the implementation of men’s family violence services within The Orange Door.
What has been your highlight of working at Method (so far)?
Definitely the people I get to work with every day. Everyone is so supportive of each other and works together as one cohesive team. I would also say, the activities we do together as a group like fitness and celebrating each other’s success.
